Functionalities
Autonomous recognition of licence plates

The autonomous license plate recognition function enables the detection and identification of license plate characters and compares them with a database stored in the camera's memory. Depending on the recognition result and configured options, the camera can perform various actions, such as activating an alarm output to control a barrier or gate, sending email notifications, saving photos and/or recordings on a memory card, or storing information in the cloud (the range and type of available reactions may vary depending on the camera model and/or software version). Sending recognition information to a recorder allows for expanding the range of reactions available in the recorder. Thanks to an advanced algorithm, recognition can be effective regardless of the time of day and weather conditions.

RxCamView

The mobile application allows for remote monitoring of a system based on 4000, AHD and Wi-Fi recorders via a smartphone with Android or iOS. The basic configuration of the recorder and cameras as well as PTZ control are available from the phone. The application allows you to connect to the recorder via P2P using a QR code, without the need for additional network configuration. In addition, it allows you to receive push alarms for selected alarm actions such as:
- crossing the line
- intrusion into the zone
- sabotage

Cooperation with cameras with a PIR detector

4000 Series recorders are able to receive a message about the detection of a moving object by a PIR detector built into the front panel of the camera. A passive infrared detector allows us to eliminate false motion detections caused by eg:
- lights of passing cars
- shadow movements
- reflections from shiny surfaces
- leaves / trees movement in the wind
The principle of operation of the PIR detector is based on the detection of heat changes in the detection zone, therefore the alarm is generated only when a human or other object that differs in temperature from the environment appears on the stage.

Configuration of cameras from the NVR

 

The recorders in combination with the cameras of the same series, apart from the configuration of basic parameters such as contrast or brightness, allow for a much more advanced interference with the camera settings. Depending on the functionality of the camera, from the recorder level it is possible, among others:
- changing the network settings of the camera
- stream parameters setting
- setting the zoom and focus in a camera with a motor zoom lens
- enabling and configuring the image analysis function
 

NMS Compatible

Novus Management System VSS software is an advanced platform for managing video monitoring system. Novus Management System VSS can combine different standards of CCTV: Analog, AHD, IP, and at the same time is a software with a high degree of flexibility, finding its application in both small and large and distributed installations

VCA Analysis

VCA (Video Content Analysis) features are a collection of techniques and algorithms that analyze and interpret video to detect threats, anomalies, or unwanted activities. VCA algorithms make it possible to detect and identify objects, analyze the movement of objects, including their tracking, but also allow, for example, face or license plate recognition. In thermal imaging cameras, VCA functions allow for early detection of fires.

The VCA in the cameras can operate automatically, without the need for human intervention, which enables a quick response to emergency situations.

ONVIF standard

The ONVIF standard allows for basic compatibility between devices from different manufacturers and brands. The camera + recorder set supporting the ONVIF standard guarantees that the camera will be found, added, recorded and will transmit information about motion detection.

H.265

The video encoding standard, which is the successor to the H.264 standard, which allows to save up to 35% of the bandwidth.

Cross counting

A function that performs the counting of a defined line crossing, distinguishing the direction of a moving object. The function can be used to create statistics of visits to any public facilities.
Application example:
- counting the number of visitors to the selected store depending on days / week

Object Disappearance

The function allows to trigger a local alarm, send an e-mail, activate the relay, or send a push notification to the mobile application after detecting the disappearance of the object in the designated detection zone.
Application example:
- protection of museum exhibits

Face detection

The function allows to trigger a local alarm, send an e-mail, control the relay after detecting the face from the observed scene. The function will be used in places where due to high traffic it is not possible to use ordinary motion detection, and we want to register only fragments in which a human appears on the observed scene.
Application example:
- shops
- passage control (gates, tripods)

Sabotage

The function allows to trigger a local alarm, send an e-mail, activate the relay, or send a push notification to the mobile application after:
- covering the camera
- changing the scene of the camera (physical interference in the assembly)
- changing the focus settings (with cameras manually
adjustable focal length)

Hybrid Mode

The Novus AHD DVRs, thanks to the hybrid mode, are able to display, record and receive image analysis from including IP cameras. The combination of analog cameras with IP cameras in one recorder is particularly important in the case of modernization of the existing video monitoring system, as well as its future expansion.

AHD Multistandard

AHD recorders working in multistandard mode are able to handle analog cameras with different operating standards. Available standards are AHD, TVI, CVI, are the most common on the market, hence, the recorders will be compatible with most analog cameras from other manufacturers.

The recorder is dedicated to work with AHD cameras, Novus 4000 series IP cameras and achieves the best functionality with them. In case of work with IP cameras intelligent image analysis, dualstream mode, PTZ control, motion detection and alarm inputs / outputs functions depend on the functionality of the IP camera and the capabilities of the communication protocol. Detailed data on camera compatibility with recorders and compatible hard drives can be found in the compatibility tables available in the DOWNLOADABLE FILES tab.
Display and playback speeds are achieved using dual stream.
The recording speed of analog cameras may be limited during playback.
